Check available customs preferences and trade agreements for a given country of origin.
Provide the HS/CN code of your goods and the country where they were produced or substantially transformed. The calculator checks for applicable trade agreements.
The calculator searches EU free-trade agreements, GSP (Generalised Scheme of Preferences), and autonomous trade preferences to find any reduced or zero-duty rates for your product–origin combination.
See a side-by-side comparison of the standard MFN (Most-Favoured Nation) duty rate and the preferential rate, showing exactly how much you could save.
The calculator outlines the rules of origin that must be met to claim the preferential rate, including the type of proof of origin required (EUR.1, origin declaration, REX statement).
Preferential origin is based on where goods were produced or substantially transformed, not where they were shipped from. Goods transshipped through Singapore but made in China cannot claim Singapore origin.
Each trade agreement has specific product-by-product rules (e.g., minimum local content, change of tariff heading). Verify that your supplier's production process meets these rules before counting on preferential rates.
Different agreements require different documents: EUR.1 movement certificate, origin declaration on the invoice, or a REX (Registered Exporter) statement. Using the wrong proof means the preference will be rejected at import.
Some agreements allow diagonal or full cumulation, meaning materials from partner countries can count towards meeting origin rules. The PEM (Pan-Euro-Mediterranean) Convention is a key example for EU trade.

The EU has trade agreements with over 70 countries and regions, providing preferential duty rates. Key agreements include EU-UK TCA, EU-Japan EPA, EU-Canada CETA, EU-South Korea FTA, and the EU-Turkey Customs Union.
The Generalised Scheme of Preferences grants reduced duties to developing countries (Standard GSP), further reductions to vulnerable countries meeting sustainability criteria (GSP+), and duty-free/quota-free access for Least Developed Countries (EBA).
Defines the non-preferential and preferential origin rules, including criteria for substantial transformation, list rules, and cumulation provisions.
A network of origin rules that enables cumulation of origin among EU, EFTA, Turkey, and Mediterranean partner countries, making it easier to meet origin requirements across the region.
