Definition
Conditional release is the release of goods by the customs authority subject to fulfilment of specified requirements within a set deadline. It may apply when documents are missing (e.g. origin certificate, conformity certificate), laboratory test results are not yet available, or the importer must complete the customs declaration. Additional security may be required.
