The EU-Turkey Customs Union has been in force since 1996, covering industrial products and processed agricultural goods. Under the customs union, Turkey applies the EU's Common Customs Tariff towards third countries, and industrial goods can be traded between the EU and Turkey duty-free. The proof of customs union status is the A.TR movement certificate.
