Section I CN – Live Animals

Section I of the Combined Nomenclature covers chapters 01-05 containing live animals and animal products. Chapter 01 covers live animals, chapter 02 meat and edible offal, chapter 03 fish and crustaceans, chapter 04 dairy produce, eggs and honey, and chapter 05 other animal products. Import of these goods is subject to special veterinary and sanitary controls (SPS) and requires health certificates. Many headings are covered by tariff quotas and seasonal duties.
