Section VIII covers chapters 41 (raw hides and tanned leather), 42 (leather articles, bags, suitcases) and 43 (furskins and artificial fur). Classification in chapter 42 depends on the dominant material of the outer surface. Some hide imports are subject to CITES regulations.
