Definition
The TCA (Trade and Cooperation Agreement) governs EU-UK trade since 1 January 2021. It provides zero tariffs and zero quotas for goods meeting rules of origin. Exporters must issue statements on origin. The TCA does not eliminate customs, phytosanitary, or veterinary controls at the EU-UK border. Goods without origin are subject to full MFN duties.
