Temporary Storage Facility

A temporary storage facility (TSF) is a place approved by customs authorities where non-Union goods may be stored from the moment of their presentation to customs until they are placed under a customs procedure or re-exported. The maximum storage period is 90 days. Operating a TSF requires a customs authority permit and compliance with record-keeping, security, and financial guarantee requirements.
