A cargo manifest is a document prepared by the carrier listing all goods carried on a particular means of transport. In maritime transport, the manifest contains data from all bills of lading; in air transport, from all air waybills. The manifest may serve as a summary declaration for security purposes or as a document for presenting goods to customs.
