Certificate / Declaration of Conformity

An EU Declaration of Conformity is a document issued by the manufacturer or authorised representative confirming that a product meets essential requirements of relevant New Approach directives (e.g. machinery, low voltage, EMC). It is the basis for affixing the CE mark. The importer must ensure the manufacturer has issued the declaration and it remains available to market surveillance authorities for 10 years.
