CLP – Classification, Labelling and Packaging Regulation

CLP (Classification, Labelling and Packaging, Reg. 1272/2008) implements the Globally Harmonized System (GHS) of classification and labelling of chemicals in the EU. CLP defines rules for classifying substances and mixtures by hazards (physical, health, environmental), hazard pictograms, H-statements and P-statements. Chemical imports must comply with CLP labelling and packaging requirements.
