Definition
EFTA (European Free Trade Association) comprises four European states: Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, and Switzerland. Three (excluding Switzerland) are part of the European Economic Area (EEA), ensuring free movement of goods with the EU. Switzerland has separate bilateral agreements. EFTA also negotiates FTAs with third countries.
