Definition
An export licence is a permit issued by the competent authority for the export of controlled goods: arms, dual-use goods, sanctioned goods. Types include: individual licences (one contract), global licences (multiple deliveries to one recipient), and general licences (for specified goods categories and countries). Export without a required licence is a criminal offence.
